What is JumpSole

What is TheJumpSole?

148855EA-BE15-4AD7-9AC6-358F4F21EC70.jpeg

Problem Statement:

During practices and sporting activities, youth and adult athletes expend a lot of force or power on the joints, and when combined with certain walking, running or jumping movements it adds more stress to the knees and particularly the foot. Thus reducing the rate of return energy, stride frequency and power, and increasing the probability of injury to the heel or foot.

Solution:

The JumpSole is a ¾ semi-custom performance insole that was specifically engineered FOR high intensity walking, running, and jumping movements or applying great amounts of force to the heel and/or foot area. The JumpSole® is a memory foam gel base with padded support to the heel and metatarsal area for shock absorption, returning energy and comfort.  The contoured design or time molds to the foot making walking, running and jumping movements less intense.

What Does The Data Say?

148855EA-BE15-4AD7-9AC6-358F4F21EC70.jpeg

What does the data say:

  • Newton’s 3rd law suggest for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Let me explain, the average weight of a youth between the ages of 9 and 12 is about 75 pounds, which equates to about 333.617 newtons. Using Newton’s third law, that is about 150 pounds of force exerted into the heel or foot area within seconds when jumping.  Multiply that times the number of jumps over a short period of time its only a matter of time that power and explosiveness is reduced and increases the risk of foot injuries such as Plantar Fasciitis.

  • There is a 30% to 35% chance that athletes, including runners will get plantar fasciitis. That’s 1 in 3 athletes that will experience a foot injury.

  • Several top Elite athletes experience Plantar Fasciitis, forcing them out of practice and competition. Top athletes such as Jason Kid (NBA), Antonio Gates (NFL), Peyton Manning (NFL), Catherine Ibarguen (World Class Long Jumper, Stephanie Catley(MLS) etc.

  • The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) concluded most of sport injury episodes involve ages 5 - 23, with the highest rate of injury between the ages of 5 - 14 is at 76%. That’s means there’s a 76% chance youth and adults will get injured.  Sprains and strains accounted for the largest portion of injury types at 41% and the most frequent injured area of the body were lower legs and foot.
